Sven-Ake Magnusson, the inventor of MaxiCrown, was managing director
of Wicanders, Sweden during 20 years. In 1989 TOYO Japan, Wicanders'
licensee for MaxiCrown in Asia, acquired the closure business from
Wicanders and the patent rights outside Europe and South America.
In these markets the MaxiCrown
Sealing System is marketed by MaxiCrown Sealing Machines AB,
Sweden; owned by Sven-Ake Magnusson and his family.
The Inventor, Mr
Sven-Ake Magnusson, Sweden, is holding all issued MaxiCrown patents
in Europe and South America. Toyo
Seikan Kaisha Ltd (TOYO) and its subsidiary Japan Crown Cork (JCC)
are holding all issued MaxiCrown patents outside Europe and South
A technical agreement has been signed between TOYO and Mr. Magnusson
granting an exclusive right within Europe and South America to exploit
MaxiCrown including future developments within above mentioned territory.
The agreement includes the right to appoint licensee manufacturer
in Europe based on the technique used by JCC.

Machines AB is supplying and installing the MaxiCrown
Conversion Kit. We are a team with long experience from sealing
different pull-ring closures during our cooperation in the past
with Wicanders, Sweden.
Mr Sven-Ake Magnusson, the inventor of MaxiCrown, is taking care
of the sales and marketing partly being based in France.
Mr Christer Ronge is responsible
for the manufacture, assembly and testing of the sealing equipment;
the MaxiCrown Conversion
Kit. The parts mounted in the equipment is purchased from the
same subcontractors having supplied Wicanders for many years.
We are just in the process
to move from Älvängen north of Gothenburg, the original
location of Wicanders, to Henån on the island Orust, one hour
drive from Gothenbug. Henån is the place the Magnusson family
